HA-HYPERTHERMIC ARID SOILS
Soils with mean annual soil temperatures of more than 72 degrees Fahrenheit (22 C) and less than 10 inches (25 cm) mean annual precipitation. Includes:
- HA1-Torrifluvents Association: Deep, stratified, coarse to fine-textured, nearly level to gently sloping soils on floodplains and lower alluvial fans.
- HA3-Mohall Vecont-Pinamt Association: Deep, moderately fine and fine-textured and gravelly, moderately coarse textured, nearly level to gently sloping soils on valley plains.
- HA4-Gunsight-Rillito-Pinal Association: Deep and shallow, limy, gravelly medium and moderately coarse-textured, nearly level to strongly sloping soils on low alluvial surfaces and valley plains.
- HA6-Lithic Camborthids-Rock Outcrop-Lithic Haplargids Association: Shallow, gravelly and cobbly, moderately coarse to moderately fine-textured, gently sloping to very steep soils and rock outcrop on hills and mountains.
