A crew of Verde NRCD Supervisors and volunteers worked the exhibit booth at the 11th Annual Verde River Days from 9-5 p.m., September 25, 1999. A big turnout was noted. Chairman Bill Cook and Board Advisor J.R. Miskol kept the canoe rides moving along the river below the exhibits. In center of photo below, Keynote Speaker Secretary of State Betsey Bayless (center) stopped by the booth to visit with her sister, NRCD Supervisor Kaki Rowland (right) and Volunteer Susun McCulla. An addition this year to the NRCD booth was a large map prepared by the USBOR for people to mark their homes with colored pens. It proved quite popular. Over 3,800 attended this year's event. The 204 signups represent an oncall list of over 700 potential participants.
