It appears things are heating up for the American Heritage Rivers Initiative. The politicians (alive and dead) are coming out of the woodwork to comment or complain about its intent, content and portent.
We of VWA must be careful to remain abreast of any and all information available so that any decisions we make are in the best intersts of the area.
The majority of the membership has to be comfortable with our decision to make our organization work.
IN closing, I would like to commend all those that attended the Clarkdale meeting. The concerns were well founded and discussion spirited. If we had this type of participation at every meeting of VWA, we would be well on the way to getting our job done.
I also want to give a big hand to those of you who became new members. We need your help, support and abilities.
See you all at Chino Valley July 15.
Jay Wilkinson.
